Hanwha Defense USA, Inc. (HDUSA), together with its parent company, Hanwha Aerospace, will showcase the latest artillery and defense solutions at the upcoming Association of the United States Army (AUSA) exhibition, taking place from October 14-16 in Washington, D.C.
The featured products will include:
-
- AHS K9A2 – equipped with an automated handling system and an automatic turret, achieving a rate of fire of up to 10 rounds per minute.
- Modular Charge System (MCS) for 155mm artillery – designed for use with 39- and 52-caliber barrel configurations. Its “clean burn” technology eliminates the need for barrel cleaning between shots, significantly increasing howitzer firing rates.
- GRUNT (GRound UNcrewed Transport) – a hybrid electric 6×6 vehicle designed to support infantry operations such as ammunition transport, medical evacuation, reconnaissance, and fire support. The vehicle has a range of up to 290 kilometers on a single charge and a payload capacity exceeding 900 kilograms. GRUNT is an evolution of the Arion SMET vehicle.
- Wheeled Howitzer – Hanwha Aerospace is developing a mobile wheeled howitzer (MH) featuring K9A2 turret technology, mounted on an 8×8 heavy truck chassis. Currently in the prototype stage, the howitzer will be equipped with a 52-caliber barrel and will work in tandem with a wheeled resupply vehicle utilizing the same ammunition transfer technology as the K10 ARV.
- Integrated Vehicle System (IVS) – Hanwha Systems, another subsidiary of Hanwha Aerospace, will showcase IVS, which serves as the “brain” and “sensory system” for various combat vehicles, including main battle tanks, armored vehicles, and self-propelled howitzers.
