Preparatory works have commenced in Gorzów Wielkopolski for the construction of Hanwha WB Advanced System’s state-of-the-art missile manufacturing facility. The investment marks another milestone in the industrial cooperation between Hanwha Aerospace and the Polish defense industry, representing an important step toward strengthening Poland’s domestic capabilities in advanced missile production.
The initial phase includes site preparation and earthworks ahead of the main construction activities. Once completed, the facility will manufacture CGR-080 precision-guided rockets for the HOMAR-K multiple launch rocket system under the Third Executive Contract of the HOMAR-K program.
The investment is being carried out by Hanwha WB Advanced System, a joint venture established by Hanwha Aerospace and WB Electronics. It represents one of the most significant localization and technology transfer projects currently underway in Poland’s defense sector.
The facility will be the first of its kind in Poland to manufacture precision-guided rockets of this class, providing the domestic defense industry with access to advanced manufacturing technologies while creating a foundation for the further development of national expertise in precision missile systems.
Construction of the facility is expected to take several months. Once operational, the plant will not only support the implementation of the HOMAR-K program but will also create new highly skilled jobs and contribute to the development of the local industrial ecosystem, including suppliers, logistics providers and companies operating in the advanced technology sector.
The project reflects Hanwha Aerospace’s long-term commitment to building sustainable industrial partnerships and expanding local manufacturing capabilities in Poland. The new facility will become another important pillar of the company’s long-standing cooperation with the Polish defense industry, focused not only on delivering advanced defense systems but also on strengthening Poland’s technological and industrial base for the future.
