The second day of MSPO 2026 provided another opportunity to discuss the further development of Hanwha Aerospace’s cooperation with Polish institutional, industrial and research partners.

In Kielce, Hanwha Aerospace Europe and the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) signed a cooperation agreement covering defence technologies and research and development, including the potential joint development of solutions for future programmes in Poland and international markets. The agreement also opens opportunities for further cooperation related to the localisation of selected technologies in Poland.

The agreement was signed by Jacek Cyrek, President & CEO of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, and Dr Mirosław Kowalski, Director of the Air Force Institute of Technology.

Hanwha’s stand was also visited by Minister of State Assets Wojciech Balczun. During the meeting, the Minister was introduced to a range of solutions on display, including the K9A2, the concept of its unmanned K9A3 development variant, MUM-T solutions, as well as multi-layered air defence systems and technologies developed by Hanwha Systems.

Another highlight of the second day was a Hanwha Systems demonstration focused on the use of artificial intelligence for satellite imagery analysis. The demonstration showcased the processing and AI-assisted analysis of electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data. Using satellite data acquired in real time, the demonstration attracted a wide range of visitors and illustrated how such technologies can support the rapid collection, analysis and use of information for operational purposes.

Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of National Defence, was also among the guests visiting the stand.

The second day of the exhibition also included numerous meetings with representatives of the Polish government, the Polish Armed Forces, the defence industry, research institutions, and partners from Poland and abroad. Discussions focused both on ongoing programmes and on opportunities to further develop industrial, technological, and research and development cooperation in Poland.

MSPO remains an important platform for Hanwha Aerospace to discuss not only ongoing programmes, but also new areas of cooperation with Polish partners, including the localisation of production, technology transfer, research and development, and next-generation technologies.
