The third day of the MSPO 2026 International Defence Industry Exhibition brought further important developments for Hanwha Aerospace Europe. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry (Łukasiewicz–IPO) and received the “Proud Veteran” award in recognition of its commitment to supporting Poland’s veteran community.

Cooperation with Łukasiewicz–IPO

Hanwha Aerospace Europe and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry signed a Memorandum of Understanding during MSPO. The document was signed by Jacek Cyrek, President of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, and Jakub Gadek, Director of Łukasiewicz–IPO.

The MoU focuses on developing cooperation in defence technologies, research and development, and the exchange of expertise. The parties also intend to explore opportunities for joint projects and further technological cooperation in Poland.

The agreement further expands Hanwha Aerospace Europe’s cooperation with Polish research and scientific institutions. During this year’s MSPO, the company also signed a cooperation agreement with the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL).

“Proud Veteran” Award for Hanwha Aerospace

On the same day, Hanwha Aerospace Europe received the “Proud Veteran” award, presented by the Association of Wounded and Injured Veterans of Missions Abroad to organisations demonstrating a particular commitment to supporting Poland’s veteran community.

The ceremony took place at the Military University of Technology stand. The award was presented by Stanisław Wziątek, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, and Tomasz Kloc, President of the Association of Wounded and Injured Veterans of Missions Abroad.

“This recognition is particularly meaningful to us. Supporting the veteran community is an important part of Hanwha Aerospace’s long-term social commitment. It is both a privilege and an honour for us to recognise those who have dedicated themselves to serving the security of their country,” said Jacek Cyrek, President of Hanwha Aerospace Europe.

In recent months, Hanwha Aerospace Europe has worked with the Association in support of its statutory activities and initiatives dedicated to veterans and their families, including events aimed at bringing the veteran community together and honouring soldiers who served on missions abroad.

Following the ceremony, Stanisław Wziątek and Tomasz Kloc visited the Hanwha Aerospace stand, where Jacek Cyrek presented the technologies showcased at MSPO and outlined plans for the further development of cooperation with Polish industry.
