Michael Coulter, CEO of Global Defence at Hanwha, made his first official visit to Poland since assuming his position in December 2024, spending March 10–12 in the country.
Upon arriving at the Warsaw office of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, Mr. Coulter emphasized the company’s commitment to long-term cooperation in the region:
“Poland plays a critical role in NATO’s Eastern Flank, and we recognize the importance of strengthening its defense capabilities through industrial cooperation and technology transfer,” said Michael Coulter. “A great example of this approach is the Homar-K system, developed in cooperation with leading Polish defense companies like Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. and WB GROUP.

As the head of global defense operations for Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems, and Hanwha Ocean, Mr. Coulter held a series of meetings at the headquarters of key Polish defense sector companies. On March 11, he met with Piotr Wojciechowski, President of WB GROUP, following a discussion with Krzysztof Trofiniak, President of the Polish Armament Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A.), a day earlier. Discussions focused on strengthening industrial cooperation and advancing technological partnerships between Hanwha and the Polish defense sector.
Michael Coulter was accompanied by representatives from Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Aerospace Europe, Hanwha Ocean, and Hanwha Systems, all of which are expanding their presence in Poland and across Europe, fostering closer ties with local industry and defense institutions.
