The K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers and Homar-K multiple rocket launchers (K239 Chunmoo) were among the key systems showcased during this year’s Polish Armed Forces parade – the largest in history and, for the first time, combined with a naval parade.
The presence of K9 and Homar-K highlights the dynamic modernization of the Polish Army and its growing deterrence and defense capabilities. Developed through cooperation between Hanwha Aerospace and the Polish defense industry, these systems form the backbone of Poland’s modern artillery and play a crucial role in the security of NATO’s eastern flank.
Polish Armed Forces Day, observed on 15 August to commemorate the victorious Battle of Warsaw of 1920, serves as a reminder of the historic struggle for freedom and independence. This year’s parade demonstrated that Poland, supported by its allies, is ready to face the challenges of the modern battlefield.
Hanwha Aerospace Europe is proud that through the K9 and Homar-K it contributes to the defense capabilities of the Republic of Poland and the wider region.
