History
Hanwha Aerospace traces its origins back to 1977, when it was founded as Samsung Precision Industries, South Korea’s first manufacturer of aircraft engines and precision machinery. In 1999, the company was renamed Samsung Techwin, expanding its expertise in aerospace and defense technologies.
In 2015, the company became part of the Hanwha Group, one of South Korea’s largest conglomerates, established in 1952. This marked a turning point, with the company rebranded as Hanwha Techwin, reflecting its integration into the group.
In 2018, it adopted its current name, Hanwha Aerospace, to emphasize its focus on cutting-edge solutions in aerospace, space technology, and defense.
Today, Hanwha Aerospace is a global leader in its field, continuing the legacy of innovation and reliability fostered by the Hanwha Group.
