Today, in the heart of Norway’s capital, Hanwha proudly hosted the Norway–Hanwha Industry Day, bringing together key Norwegian partners at NHO – Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon (Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise). The strong turnout and active engagement reflected a mutual interest in collaboration and future opportunities.
We extend our sincere thanks to H.E. SEO Minjeong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Norway, for officially opening the event.
In his remarks following the opening, Mr. Chae Hoon, Head of the PGM Division at Hanwha Aerospace, emphasized the importance of Norwegian–Korean defense cooperation, stating:
“Norway is one of our key partners in Europe, with whom we have established strong ties through K9 contracts and partnerships with leading Norwegian defense companies. This event is dedicated to deepening our relationships with Norwegian industry and exploring opportunities to enhance bilateral defense capabilities and cooperation.”
The day began with a presentation of the extensive capabilities of Hanwha Group in global defense, featuring Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Ocean, and Hanwha Systems. This was followed by dedicated business-to-business meetings, providing a platform for Norwegian companies and Hanwha representatives to align on shared objectives and potential areas of collaboration.
We are encouraged by the constructive dialogue and look forward to further strengthening our partnership in Norway.
