Hanwha Aerospace Europe has been honoured with the “Proud Veteran” award in recognition of its commitment to supporting Polish veterans of overseas military missions. The award ceremony took place on 10 September 2026 during the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, in the presence of injured veterans, friends of the Association, representatives of companies supporting its activities, and members of the media.
The award was presented to Jacek Cyrek, President & CEO of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, by Deputy Minister of National Defence Stanisław Wziątek and Tomasz Kloc, President of the Association of Injured and Wounded Veterans of Missions Abroad.
The distinction recognises Hanwha Aerospace Europe’s ongoing cooperation with the Association of Injured and Wounded Veterans of Missions Abroad, which the company continues to develop as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
Support Beyond Business
For the past two years, Hanwha Aerospace Europe has been actively involved in initiatives supporting Polish veterans injured during overseas military missions.
The partnership with the Association includes support for its statutory activities, including rehabilitation programmes, sports and social integration initiatives, as well as projects dedicated to preserving the memory of Polish soldiers.
The company’s commitment goes beyond one-off initiatives. Its objective is to build a lasting partnership and support activities that address the genuine needs of veterans and their families.
A Shared Sense of Responsibility
As a supplier of defence systems used by the Polish Armed Forces, Hanwha Aerospace Europe places particular importance on its relationships with the military community. Supporting veterans is a natural extension of this cooperation, going beyond equipment deliveries and the implementation of military modernisation programmes.
The “Proud Veteran” award is a particular source of pride for the entire Hanwha Aerospace Europe team. At the same time, it reinforces our commitment to continuing our support for those whose service has contributed to the security of Poland and its allies.
We would like to thank the Association of Injured and Wounded Veterans of Missions Abroad for its trust and continued partnership. We extend our sincere appreciation and respect to all veterans for their service and sacrifice.
