Hanwha Aerospace Europe once again participated in the Carnival Charity Gala organized by the Association of Veterans Injured and Affected During Missions Abroad together with the 12th Mechanized Brigade. The event, held on 7 February 2026 in Szczecin, brought together representatives of public administration, the armed forces, local authorities, and industrial partners supporting the veterans’ community.
The Gala was officially opened by Stanisław Wziątek, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, accompanied by Colonel Krzysztof Duda, Acting Commander of the 12th Mechanized Brigade, and Tomasz Kloc, President of the Association. Among the invited guests were members of parliament, local government officials, soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces, and representatives of Polish and international companies engaged in supporting the Association’s statutory activities.
During the 10th anniversary edition of the Charity Gala, auctions were held featuring items donated by public figures and institutions. The proceeds will be allocated to support veterans injured during service outside the country.
As the Association’s Strategic Partner in 2025, Hanwha actively participated in the auctions, winning three items:
- a copy of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland signed and donated by the Marshal of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty;
- a commemorative plaque of the 12th Mechanized Division funded by its commander, Major General Michał Rohde;
- a commemorative display board featuring an Invictus Games coin along with albums, donated by Lieutenant Colonel Katarzyna Rzadkowska, Director of the Veterans Centre for Missions Abroad.
Participation in the Gala once again demonstrates Hanwha Aerospace Europe’s long-term commitment to providing tangible support to the veterans’ community and to building lasting relationships based on respect, responsibility, and solidarity with those who have been injured in service to their country.
Cooperation with the Association began in February 2025 with participation in the annual charity gala. During the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Hanwha Aerospace Europe President Jacek Cyrek presented the Association with a commemorative cheque in the amount of PLN 100,000. The funds were allocated, among other purposes, to finance rehabilitation programs for injured veterans.
In September, Hanwha joined veterans in the initiative “Remembering the Past – Honouring Fallen Polish Soldiers in Italy on the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II,” visiting memorial sites dedicated to Polish heroes who fell in combat.
Remembrance and support are not one-time gestures, but a consistently pursued responsibility. Hanwha Aerospace Europe remains committed to initiatives that have a real and lasting impact on improving the quality of life of veterans and their families, treating this engagement as a natural part of its presence in Poland.
