The President of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, Jacek Cyrek, took part in the “Next Chapter” panel during the fourth edition of the Korea–Poland Defense Industry Cooperation Conference. The event was held in Warsaw on 13 November 2025, initiated by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Poland, with organizational support from KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency).
The conference was opened by H.E. Junyoul Tae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Chong-Dae Won, Vice Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, and Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of National Defence. In their remarks, they emphasized the growing importance of Polish–Korean cooperation in the field of security and strategic industrial projects.
During the panel discussion, Jacek Cyrek presented the current status of cooperation between Hanwha Aerospace and Poland, particularly within the K9 and Homar-K programs, and discussed the progress of establishing a joint venture with the WB Group. He also outlined a broad spectrum of future cooperation opportunities stemming from Hanwha’s extensive multi-domain portfolio, encompassing land, naval, air, ISR and space technologies.
The conference sessions focused on the future shape of cooperation between Poland and the Republic of Korea within the European defense sector, the development of new technological domains, and the strengthening of long-term industrial and production capabilities in Poland.
