We are proud to announce that Hanwha Aerospace Europe has been honored with an award in the “Innovation” category during the 11th Golden Laurel Super Biznes Gala, held on Tuesday evening at the Primate’s Palace in Warsaw.
During the gala, which brought together the worlds of business and politics, outstanding individuals and exceptional companies were recognized. The special “Personality of the Decade” award was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski, to former Prime Minister of Poland and President of the European Parliament, Professor Jerzy Buzek.
The award for Hanwha was accepted by Robert Szelenbaum, PhD Eng., who leads key programs at HAEU, from Tadeusz Białek, President of the Polish Bank Association. During his speech, PhD Eng. Szelenbaum expressed gratitude for the recognition of Hanwha Aerospace’s groundbreaking technologies, which contribute to enhancing the security of Poland and NATO.
“The programs we implement with the Polish industry, both state-owned and private, represent a long-term technological and technical partnership that ensures stable supplies for the Polish Armed Forces, NATO countries, and the European Union,” he added.
As an example of bilateral industrial cooperation, PhD Eng. Szelenbaum highlighted the implementation of the Homar-K program in collaboration with WB GROUP, Jelcz Sp. z o.o., and Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. He also referred to the newly established cooperation aimed at developing national capabilities in rocket ammunition production, jointly with WB.
The HAEU representative emphasized that partnerships formed with Poland’s research, academic, and industrial networks aim to yield tangible results in the form of new innovations developed domestically.
In the concluding part of his speech, PhD Eng. Szelenbaum stated that Hanwha Aerospace is a responsible and engaged company, aware of its obligations related to its presence in Poland. He also referred to the support provided to victims of the recent floods by donating essential supplies to the “Pomagamy Razem” initiative organized by ZPR Media Group.
The event was attended by the Minister of Development and Technology, Undersecretaries of State from the Ministry of Climate and Environment and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, the Ombudsman, the Deputy Head of the Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, Members of the Polish Parliament, and representatives of ZPR Media Group. The “Golden Laurel Super Biznes” award was established in 2014 to mark the 25th anniversary of Poland’s economic freedom and the 10th anniversary of its EU membership.
