Corporate social responsibility, as understood by Hanwha Aerospace, means real actions that confirm the company’s maturity and long-term approach to partnerships. Since the establishment of its permanent representation in Poland in the form of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, the company has been actively involved in initiatives supporting local communities as well as environments connected with security and education.
Over the past year, Hanwha Aerospace Europe has been engaged in providing assistance to the victims of flooding in southern Poland, cooperating in this effort with the ZPR Media Group, (owner of the Super Express daily newspaper and portalobronny.se.pl), as well as InPost – partner of this event .
In 2025, HAEU became, alongside the Ministry of National Defence and Lockheed Martin, a strategic partner of the Association of the Wounded and Injured in Missions Abroad. As a company, we took part in the annual Charity Veterans’ Ball, directly contributing to the total amount raised during the event, and during the International Defence Industry Exhibition we presented the Association with a donation cheque of PLN 100,000.
Together with veterans, we visited memorial sites of fallen Polish heroes, paying tribute to them on behalf of the entire Hanwha community.
We also launched cooperation with the Artillery Museum in Toruń, which we supported with informational materials on systems developed by Hanwha. In addition, we supported the 5th Family Picnic organized by the Museum during the celebrations of the Polish Armed Forces Day.
At the beginning of this month, Hanwha supported the organization of the International Korean Studies Conference organized by the Department of Asian and African Studies at the University of Warsaw.
The culmination of CSR activities carried out in Poland in 2025 is the Hanwha Global Challenger project with a total value of PLN 1.2 million, implemented in cooperation with the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces in Wrocław.
As part of the project, the university gained two modern, hybrid Hanwha Smart Learning Labs, and 16 of its students and cadets received scholarships with a total value exceeding PLN 150,000.
The official opening of the laboratories and the scholarship award ceremony took place on 27 November 2025, on the occasion of the University Holiday and the Cadet Day. The symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by the President of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, Jacek Cyrek.
Supporting the students, cadets, and academic staff of the Military University of Land Forces is a source of pride for Hanwha Aerospace Europe and an expression of a responsible approach to partnership with Poland. Investing in future leaders of national and regional security is an important element of the development of Polish–Korean cooperation in the areas of education, technology, and security.
